Anja, thank you for kicking off this discussion. I agree that vision and planning are very important. The US market has the potential to be the largest in the world, although there is some serious policy work that needs to be done before solar can g…

Tell us about yourself
Thanks for visiting my page, let me take a minute to introduce myself. I'm Deep Patel, Founder & CEO of GoGreenSolar.com. I live in Southern California and I'm a passionate renewable energy blogger and professional. My goal is to convert people into producers of energy, empower communities, homes, and businesses, everywhere to contribute to the energy grid versus being a liability to it. Together, we can solve the energy crisis.
Why do you support renewable energy?
I strongly believe renewable energy can free the people from the python like grip energy has around our lives. Renewable Energy can help people around the world who have no access to energy gain an equal chance in the world. I help people become energy independent around the world because I feel its the right thing to do, and since renewable energy is clean compared to traditional energy sources it can help clean up the air we breathe and protect our future generations.

Hi Deep,
Thanks for getting back to me. I am currently going to Cal Poly Pomona. I would love to speak with you if you have time. My story goes a littel deeper than a "comment" will allow.
Thanks again.

Hello!
Well the electric car is actually a real luxury in modern terms because it brings all the conviences of home to the car. The real pay off is you never have to go to the gas station ever again. In our town the respiratory illness is out of control and a vacation from this place is a cure for my sinus problems. Working in the auto industry you get to work on some of these new projects and drive the cars. They don't vibrate, emit CO and NOX, or CO2. You don't have to change the oil or replace the muffler. They can follow any command you want while still in the garage. ie., warm up, cool off, park in front of the garage and wait for me!

Good Morning, Deep. I have been working with solar, wind and hydrogen fuel cell technology partners for our tower systems since 2006.

Our inverter is not yet connected to the internet, as it is a surprisingly large expense for the connection (bluetooth or RS485) and data logger. I hope to do this soon and will let you know.

Deep,

I didn't actually answer your question. I don't know for sure what brand modules were in the picture. TI know they use allot of Kyocera modules.

Hi Deep,

Nice to know you. Yes the picture with the solar panels is in Hemet. I have been a concrete cutting & demolition contractor for the last twenty years in So Cal. My brother and I (He's an HVAC contractor for last twenty years) are starting a solar installation company focusing on grid tied residential pv systems;Renew Solar Energy-"Renew Today-Preserve Tomorrow" The picture is from a class I took thru the Solar Living Institute at Carlson Solar in Temecula. We actually went to one of the salesmans homes from Carlson Solar who was installing PV. I haven't had much time to really check out GoGreenSolar yet but look forward to participating in the community. We are currently seeking suppliers (are you a pv supplier?) so any help you can offer would be great as we are just east of you in Santa Ana and Irvine. Take care! Rob

Hi Deep, Thanks for the info. I had a solar guy out last summer and asked about putting some solar panels in my yard where there is almost always sun. He said it was too far away from the house. But it's only about 70 feet and I've seen others that are much further away. So, I think I will revisit that idea. It appears that wind won't work as even if I take my trees down, most of my neighbors have lots of trees. It's a shame. There clearly seems to be enough wind as a few trees fall every year. Last year my neighbors tree actually fell on my truck in a storm. I only have an acre of land, so I don't know that turbines on a high tower will work, but I'll look at the links you mention. Thanks much.

Hey Deep, first of all Happy New Year ;-)...the charger which we had developed have a SMPS generator connected to the PV cell. The advantage of having it is that the DC supply is directly converted into AC source but some times fluctuate due to the variation in weather condition. The power wattage is 48W but can be increased by connecting more PV array with it.Please help me in finding out a good carrier in the field of PV system.
